My husband is a home hemodialysis (HHD) patient. Taking care of him and administering his treatments has been a part of my schedule for over three years now. Eventually I may go back in time and add the notes from our training. For now I will pick up where we are and move forward.
We are hopeful that sharing our HHD experience will help others understand the treatments, the training, and a little about the scary diagnosis of End Stage Renal Disease (ESRD.)
With treatment, it is far from the end.
